The College has established a Women Empowerment Cell in the college campus to empower girl students, to enhance understanding of issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for women students. With a view to taking up women’s issues and problems, the cell aims at creating awareness of their rights and duties. It also provides a platform for women to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society and to suggest ways to improve and empower themselves.Aiming at intellectual and social upliftment of the female students, the cell stands for facilitating women’s empowerment through guest lectures, seminars, awareness programmes and other welfare activities.
  • To promote a culture of respect and quality for female genders.
  • To create a conducive counseling environment for female gender to share their problems.
  • To create awareness  on their rights given by the constitution and Acts of Law
  • To conduct programmes with a motive to train girls students about self defense, health benefits and skill development
  • To bridge the gap between students and teachers by maintaining a cordial relationship between them, so that girl students can open up freely to share their personal problems.
  • To provide a stress free working atmosphere by identifying and fixing responsibility on the concerned persons for ensuring equal treatment of and participation by women in all areas.
  • To specially strengthen women scavengers and lower cadre workers of the institution by educating them in a best possible way, with the motive of making their lives better.
  • To conduct guest lectures, seminars and workshops to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available and train the women.
  • To inculcate entrepreneurial attitude among young girls, scientists at the earliest so that they can be “job givers rather than job takers.”

The institution was started in the rural and backward area of Rajampeta in the year 1980 with the moral support of her husband Sri K.Mara Reddy garu. Established in 1980, the College is moving ahead with times and made significant contribution in promoting the cause of education in the backward district of Rayalaseema.


To promote regional hormone and to provide holistic education to the poor meritorious students of the three regions of Andhra Pradesh through quality curricular programmes resulting in students empowerment and to develop the institution to a position of National importance.
